Under the carbon neutrality, what impacts electricity market reform has on China’s PV industry is an important issue that needs to be considered. This paper analyzes the driving mechanism of the marketed on-grid price and constructs a system framework for the internal connection within the PV industry under the background of carbon neutrality.
According to the “China PV Industry Development Roadmap (2018)” and “China Photovoltaic Industry Development Roadmap (2019),” which were published by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, the operation and maintenance costs of the centralized PV power stations in 2018 and 2019 are 0.05 yuan/watt/year and 0.045 yuan/watt/year, respectively.
Analysis by S&P Global suggests new power pricing measures in China could bring a rush of new installations in the country during the first half of the year and lead to an increase in solar module prices first domestically, then internationally.
Price, as the most sensitive and effective adjustment method (Chen et al. 2022), plays a significant role in the development of the PV industry (Liu et al. 2022).
In terms of the cost reduction, they did not consider the competitor. Wang et al. (2021a) extracted the accumulated R&D funds and accumulated installed capacity as the key factors and established the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) model based on the two-factor learning curve to analyze the economic benefits of China’s PV power generation.
As can be seen from Figs. 18 and 19, the larger the supply factor, the slower the rising trend of installed capacity and the smaller the proportion of PV power generation. This is because a larger supply factor leads to a decrease in the marketed on-grid price.
The global industrial and commercial energy storage market is experiencing explosive growth, with demand increasing by over 250% in the past two years. Containerized energy storage solutions now account for approximately 45% of all new commercial and industrial storage deployments worldwide.
