The energy transition and the desire for greater independence from electricity suppliers are increasingly bringing photovoltaic systems and energy storage systems into focus. Photovoltaic systems convert sunlight into electricity that can be used directly in the household or fed into the public grid.
As a solution, the integration of energy storage within large scale PV power plants can help to comply with these challenging grid code requirements 1. Accordingly, ES technologies can be expected to be essential for the interconnection of new large scale PV power plants.
